Enameled cast iron is a material that adapts well to various types of cooking. Because the entire piece is made of iron, it heats up faster and retains heat efficiently. Likewise, it's also ideal for keeping food cold if it has been refrigerated first. This piece is compatible with gas, electric, glass-ceramic, and induction stovetops, and ovens up to 240 degrees Celsius. If used with the lid, it will need to be heated up to 220 degrees Celsius, as the handle has a lower resistance. *Continuous dishwasher use may contribute to some loss of enamel shine. Each casserole dish comes with a user instructions leaflet, which we recommend reading carefully.
